The Detroit FBI office is getting involved in the disappearance case of two Black teen sisters, NewsOne reports.

14-year-old Iris Perez and her sister Tamara Perez, 15, were last seen on June 28 as they were heading toward the woods near their adoptive parents' home in Houghton Lake.

The sisters had recently moved with their adoptive parents to Michigan after their biological mom lost her parental rights in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Surveillance video obtained by the FBI shows a white Jeep leaving the area where Iris and Tamara were last spotted around the same time of their disappearance.

The FBI said Iris has a star tattoo on the left side of her neck. Along with Port St. Lucie, the sisters have connections in Lake Worth, Florida, and Winchester, Tennessee.

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Iris or Tamara Perez, they are urged to contact the Roscommon County Sheriff’s Office at (989) 275-5101.
