A North Carolina apartment manager is facing a lawsuit after she was caught on camera pouring a drink on a Black child and hitting him with the bottle.

According to TMZ, Robert Eury and Joella Lee-Eury are suing property manager Kimberly Jennings, who was charged with two counts of simple assault in connection to an incident involving their child at Sedgefield Gardens Apartments.

The Eurys claim their children were swimming at the apartment pool where their friends live when Jennings demanded they get out of the water. While the kids were leaving, Jennings allegedly approached their son and "poured soda over his head and struck him in the face multiple times all because him and his little sister was swimming in a pool at the property she manages," according to the lawsuit.

In the lawsuit, the parents said the apartment manager also assaulted their daughter, pulling her hair and hitting her. They further alleged that Jennings said their son "was acting like a real n*****" during the encounter.

Viral video of the incident showed a white woman pouring a drink on a Black child before hitting them with the bottle.

According to the parents, their children are traumatized by the incident. The Eurys are suing Jennings, the apartment complex, and the real estate company on allegations of discrimination, assault and battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
