The search for an East Coast attorney who traveled to Seattle has expanded to Southern California recently. Law enforcement agencies across the West Coast are looking for Jared Shadeed, a 27-year-old immigration lawyer from Baltimore, who vanished during a road trip last month, according to FOX 11.

Shadeed was last seen on surveillance video checking into an Airbnb he rented in Seattle on July 30, leaving his belongings, including his phone, inside before he departed the premises. A huge update in the case came on August 17 when his white 2022 Volkswagon Tiguan was found in the Atwater Village neighborhood in Los Angeles. Police believe it was abandoned around August 4.

Seattle Police declared Shadeed missing on August 15 via social media, and his family and friends are working with detectives to find the attorney.

"We’re here to support him, find him, and we’re willing to do everything that we can to make sure he’s okay," Ayan Nur-Bramwell, Shadeed's college friend in Los Angeles, told reporters. “He was living the American dream for his family. He did really good in school. He was responsible. He took care of his father."

Ciara Dalton, one of Shadeed's friends, told USA Today the apartment Shadeed was living at in the D.C. area hasn't gotten a rent payment since July 3. She also revealed he quit his job at immigration law firm Grossman Young & Hammond before his impromptu road trip. Many of his friends haven't heard from him since last December, the news outlet added.

The 27-year-old lawyer doesn't have a digital footprint, making the search for him more difficult.

Shadeed is Black American and of Lebanese descent, having brown eyes and dark brown hair. He stands at 5 feet and 7 inches and weighs 150 pounds. The attorney also sports a few tattoos on his body, including a dragon on his right calf, a Roman column on the inside of his arm, and a portrait of his mother on his shoulder.

The Los Angeles Police Department is cooperating with Seattle Police on the investigation. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call authorities.
