iHeartMedia Jacksonville has announced the eighth annual SistaStrut, a breast cancer awareness walk dedicated to supporting African-American survivors and their communities. Taking place on Saturday, October 7, this empowering event will be held at the Jacksonville Baseball Grounds at 121 Financial Ballpark, with the rally beginning at 8:00 a.m. and the walk at 10:00 a.m.
iHeartMedia is proud to sponsor and present Sista Strut as part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement and support. Throughout the walk, participants will have the chance to connect with other survivors, healthcare professionals, and organizations committed to fighting breast cancer. By sharing stories and experiences, we hope to foster a sense of unity and empower all attendees to take an active role in their own breast health.

Now through July 31st - Early Bird Pricing: $15 per individual / $20 per team member
August 1st through August 31st - Regular Pricing: $20 per individual / $25 per team member
September 1st through October 7th (day of) - Late Registration Pricing: $25 per individual / $30 per team member

Registration fee includes the Sista Strut t-shirt for both individual and team member sign-ups. Team members will also receive the Sista Strut backpack as well as the opportunity to take a team photo at the event. A team can consist of 2+ people (no minimum or maximum). Each participating member of a team must sign up as a team member in order to receive the Sista Strut t-shirt and backpack.
**We ONLY accept Credit Card or Money Order Payments. **NO CASH OR CHECKS** If you register by Money Order, do not mail payment. You simply must bring your money order in person to packet pickup on the day of the event. And please include the names of ALL team members! Please make money orders payable to iHeartMEDIA- Sista Strut 2023. You and your team may not claim your t-shirt or packet without first paying.
Breast cancer affects countless lives, and the Sista Strut walk serves as a powerful demonstration of unity, strength, and support for those impacted by the disease. By organizing this event, iHeartMedia aims to raise awareness about breast cancer in the African-American community, celebrate survivors, and provide essential resources for early detection and prevention. This event offers an opportunity to raise funds for local organizations, including the Sisters Network of N.E. FL, dedicated to breast cancer research, education, and patient support.
Volunteer Opportunities
Check-in Assistance: Help the check-in process go with ease by handing out shirts and bags to attendees!
Video & Photography Services: Be a part of the iHeart team for the day! Volunteer your video and/or photography services to be featured on our websites and socials.
Hype Rally: We need lots of energy to celebrate those crossing the finish line! We may also be handing out water & granola bars.
Water Station: Everyone needs to be hydrated! Pass out water to walkers at the halfway point.
Cheerleading Team: We are looking for high school cheerleading teams to come out and showcase their talent as they cheer on our walkers!
Marching Band: We are looking for a high school marching band to showcase their talent in celebration of our walkers!
