NBA legend Michael Jordan has been named one of the wealthiest people in America.
On Monday (October 2), Forbes released its list of the country's 400 wealthiest people.
Jordan landed at the No. 379 spot, becoming the first professional athlete to crack the Forbes 400 list.
According to Forbes, Jordan has a net worth of $3 billion. He earned a chunk of his fortune through NBA contracts and blockbuster endorsement deals with Nike and Gatorade.
A large part of his net worth is also credited to the sale of his stake in the Charlotte Hornets earlier this summer. Jordan sold his majority stake to Gabe Plotkin and Rick Schnall for $3 billion after buying in for $175 million in 2010.
Jordan is now among big names on the Forbes 400 list including Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett, and more. Elon Musk earned the top spot as Forbes' wealthiest person in America.
