Flavor Flav has joined the ranks of the singers who've gone viral for their renditions of the National Anthem.
On Sunday (October 29), the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 127-110 at Fiserv Forum.
Before the game, the Bucks invited rapper Flavor Flav to perform the national anthem, and he put on a viral-worthy performance. Some social media users applauded the rapper for the rendition, while others were critical of his singing.
Flav addressed the commentary on his performance in a statement on social media.
“The anthem was a long time bucket list item,,, that was fun!” the rapper wrote on X. “I can’t live my life worried about what people might say about me. I won’t let that stop me from trying new things and doing things I wanna do. Some people might not like that. But a sure failure is if you stop trying.”
