A Tennessee mother who allegedly posted online photos of her young child waxing naked adult women's private areas has been arrested. Jasmine Moss, 30, has been booked into jail on charges of child neglect and child abuse, the Memphis Police Department announced Monday morning (February 20).

Moss allegedly uploaded three images to Instagram showing her 5-year-old daughter applying hot wax to the private areas of naked female clients, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Action News 5 in Memphis. The mother, who reportedly runs a hair removal business out of her home, claimed the girl waxed 24 customers for over eight hours, police allege.

Screenshots of these posts sparked outrage online, and tens of thousands of people called for the mother's arrest. Moss locked down her Instagram account following the swift backlash.

The Memphis Police Department posted a statement Friday (February 16) notifying the public that they're aware of the concerning social media posts.

“The Memphis Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force has been made aware of images that are viral on social media of a minor performing a wax on a nude female. A joint investigation is underway by MPD, and the Department of Children Services," officials wrote in a statement while warning online users not to download or upload the photos circulating online.

Come Monday, police confirmed they issued an arrest warrant for Moss on Friday. She was arrested Sunday (February 19) and remains in jail at the time of reporting. Officers said the mother's bond hasn't been set.

Moss is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday (February 21).
