Kevin Hunter, the former husband of Wendy Williams, is seeking nearly two years of unpaid spousal support from her amid her recent dementia diagnosis.

On Tuesday (March 12), Hunter filed a motion in New Jersey Superior Court alleging that Williams owes him unpaid support following their 2020 divorce, per NBC News.

The motion comes after Williams' team announced that the former daytime television host was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia.

“Over the past few years, questions have been raised at times about Wendy’s ability to process information and many have speculated about Wendy’s condition, particularly when she began to lose words, act erratically at times, and have difficulty understanding financial transactions,” her team said in a statement. “Receiving a diagnosis has enabled Wendy to receive the medical care she requires.”

Williams is seen having cognitive difficulties in the new Lifetime documentary Where is Wendy Williams? According to reports, Williams is living at a facility where she is receiving treatment. A court-appointed legal guardian has been reportedly put in charge of Williams' money and treatment to avoid possible exploitation.

Hunter claims in his court filings that he hasn't received spousal support since January 2022.

“This is an emergent matter because I rely on the severance pay for my living expenses and having been without this income for 23 months has affected me greatly,” the filing reads.
