Deion Sanders Delivers The Best Recruiting Class In Jackson State History

First-year Jackson State University Football Coach Deion Sanders has delivered the school its best recruiting class. The star-studded class is led by none other than his youngest son, Shedeur. Shedeur Sanders is 60th ranked player in the country and the highest-rated quarterback to ever sign with a Football Subdivision Championship school. In addition to signing his son, Sanders also encouraged the nation's number one cornerback, De’Jahn Warren, to sign with the school. The first-year coach also brought in transfer student-athletes from powerhouses like the University of Southern California and his alma mater, Florida State University. Not to mention, his second-oldest son, Shilo, is transferring from the University of South Carolina to play for his father.

“We’re going to change the game here,” Sanders said.

"We expect to win. We expect to mature these guys, develop these guys and give them an opportunity to be a professional, on the field and off the field, but we’re going to win here. We’re going to turn a lot of heads; I promise you that.”

While many major power programs are gearing up for the College Football Playoff, Sanders, Jackson State and the Southwestern Athletic Conference are gearing up for their spring football season. The Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback will make his collegiate coaching debut on February 21 in Jackson, Mississippi. In the end, Sanders and company hope to give his team a shot to win the conference championship in May.
