Steve Harvey has landed his next major television placement. The longtime comedian and game show host will now lead a new series called Judge Steve Harvey at ABC. Variety reports that the “courtroom comedy series" will feature Harvey presiding over real-life disputes between couples, friends, siblings, roommates, etc.

“Steve plays by his own rules, basing his courtroom on his own life experiences and some good old common sense,” a spokesperson for ABC told Variety.

To get things going, ABC has already begun casting for the show by putting out a notice for anyone interested.

"[We are looking] nationwide for roommates, friends, siblings, neighbors, co-workers and more that have humor, heart and passion who are ready to settle their case by a legendary celebrity," the notice reads.

ABC will develop the series in conjunction with Den of Thieves. The production imprint has worked on several prominent award shows along with The T.O. Show, Key & Peele and Chasing Destiny. Harvey and Brandon Williams will serve as producers alongside Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager, Jared Morrell and Barb Bialkowski of Den of Thieves.

Harvey is no stranger to ABC. He currently hosts Family Feud and Celebrity Family Feud for the network. Beyond his work on television, Harvey also works on a self-titled talk show that airs on Facebook Watch. Not to mention, he has hosted his own radio show for the last 20 years.

Filming is set to take place in October and November with a potential release date in 2022.
