The son of Philadelphia rapper Gillie Da Kid was killed in a triple shooting on Thursday (July 20).

According to NBC Philadelphia, the shooting unfolded in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood at roughly 8:24 p.m. Police said a 25-year-old man was shot and killed in the shooting. Two other men were shot and taken to a local hospital where they are in stable condition, according to reports.

Police haven't named the victim who was fatally shot, but family members identified him as YNG Cheese, a local rapper and Gillie Da Kid's son.

No arrests have been made and no weapons were found at the scene, police said. An SUV near the scene was left with its engine still running, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. The car is part of an ongoing investigation into the shooting.

Wallo267, who hosts the weekly podcast “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” with Gillie Da Kid, posted a tribute to the rapper's son.

"Lil Cuz usually when I talk to you, I got a lot to tell you. Tonight the pain in my heart & tears spoke to you. I love you beyond life Cheese. I got your father, Rest Well!" Wallo267 wrote in an Instagram post.
