A paralyzed Black man was pulled out of his vehicle by police in a video that's going viral on TikTok.

Video of the incident began with police in Maryland pulling over a driver on of the side of the road. An officer told the man to exit the vehicle, which is when he pointed out that he's paralyzed.

"I'll need you to come out so I can talk to you," the officer said. "No problem. I’m paralyzed, you want me to just come out?" the man responded.

After the man opened the vehicle's door, the officer lifted him out of the car and left him sitting on the side of the road. "I’m paralyzed, do you know what that means?" the man asked the officer.

"He’s paralyzed, he can’t walk, he’s a paraplegic," the man's wife, who appeared to be in the passenger seat, chimed in, explaining that he needs a wheelchair.

The man was eventually put back into his vehicle with the help of a second officer. "This could have been a little easier, you guys, this is f***ed up," the man told the officers.

One of the officers attempted to justify his actions by claiming that the man asked for assistance with getting out of the car. Later in the video, the officer explained that the man was going to be arrested for a crime that took place in an area where he said he'd never been.

Video of the incident garnered over 800,000 views on TikTok and outrage from viewers.

"That cop knows he’s in big trouble. I hope you get justice for this," one TikTok user commented.

"As retired law enforcement….this is crazy and I’m so sorry," another said.
