Body camera footage shows the arrest of a DoorDash driver and two other individuals, which viewers say shows police engaging in racial profiling and discrimination.

The footage stems from a traffic stop conducted by Menomonee Falls Police on July 19, 2023. Officers pulled over a car with three Black men, one of whom was delivering a DoorDash order to an apartment complex.

Police claimed they pulled over the group for speeding. An officer approached the car and alleged it smelled like marijuana before asking the group to get out of the vehicle.

The officer said he was going to search the car for marijuana and told one of the passengers who exited the vehicle with his phone that he wasn't allowed to be on it while police were "investigating."

At one point during the encounter, the officer grabbed the passenger with the phone and attempted to snatch it away. The passenger is eventually put in handcuffs, and the officer threatens to tase him, claiming that he was resisting arrest.

Police told the passenger he was being arrested for obstruction and he was put in the back of a police car.

More officers arrived at the scene, prompting the driver to ask, "Why is there so many people here? It’s just three of us!”

Another passenger was on the phone with a family member when an officer ordered him to put his phone in the car.

After searching the vehicle, officers found a small plastic pack that was allegedly filled with weed. One of the individuals claimed the marijuana and officers arrested him.

When one of the men attempted to grab a phone off the ground, officers handcuffed him too, saying he was also being arrested for obstructing an investigation.

It's unclear what happened after the encounter. Video of the incident was shared on YouTube by Patrolling Wisconsin.
