A New York bride is going viral after she recruited the help of her friend when her engagement ring didn't fit, People reports.

Nicolette Koske was excited to show off her ring after her now husband, David Koske, proposed, but it was too small to fit on her finger.

Koske's best friend, Isa Haiti, helped lure her to the surprise engagement and was at the proposal location when the ring didn't fit. Koske suggested her friend stand in for some engagement photos to capture the moment.

Haiti put on the ring and stood next to the couple just out of the frame, so you could only see her hand in the photo. Koske shared the results of the photos on TikTok where many users said they couldn't even tell that the hand in the photo didn't belong to the newlywed.

“When [you] get engaged but the ring is too small so you’re [sic] bestie comes in clutch,” Koske captioned her TikTok. “No one will know 🤫.”

“Not me thinking your foundation color was too light,” one person commented.

“I would have never known if you didn’t say anything!” another TikTok user said.

Koske said she got the idea to use her best friend's hand from another TikTok she saw before the proposal.

“Someone got engaged and her nails weren’t done so she used her friend's manicured hands for pictures,” Nicolette said. “I thought of that and thought it would be hysterical to put the ring on my (Black) best friend and make it seem like it was my (Hispanic) hand. Which obviously was the joke.”

The Koskes got the ring properly sized and tied the knot on New Year's Eve.
