Tessica Brown To Receive Donations After GoFundMe Concludes Investigation

Tessica Brown, known online as the "Gorilla Glue Girl" will receive donated funds after an investigation was completed by GoFundMe.

According to TMZ, the fundraising platform asked Tessica to explain how she was going to use the money before they would release it. Apparently, she gave a good enough answer because the $23,000 in donations is on its way to her.

Tessica raised the money after a months-long ordeal involving Gorilla Glue and her hair. In a pinch, she grabbed Gorilla Glue spray thinking it would wash out once she was done with the style. Unfortunately, she was left with that was stuck in place and tightening on her scalp as the days and weeks dragged on.

Her videos detailing the experience and her attempts to get the glue out went viral, and she underwent a successful medical procedure to remove the adhesive from her hair. The surgeon performed the surgery at no cost to her.

So what does she plan to use the money for?

According to the outlet, Tessica says she’s going to donate $20,000 of the funds to the Restore Foundation, a charity that provides reconstructive surgery.

Her original goal was to raise $1,500 to cover medical expenses, but more people donated as her situation didn’t change for several days and failed attempts to get the glue out were made.
